211/4 against Chennai Super Kings (2022)

LSG recorded the 4th-highest successful run-chase in the competition’s history by chasing down a massive 211 against Chennai Super Kings. Chennai batted first and scored a mammoth 210/7 in their allotted 20 overs. While starting off with a quickfire half-century, Robin Uthappa, LSG responded by getting off to a fast start, thanks to a 99-run opening wicket partnership between KL Rahul and Quinton de Kock. Evin Lewis then turned the game in favour of LSG by slamming an undefeated 55 off just 23 balls.

210/0 against Kolkata Knight Riders (2022)

Quinton de Kock smashed an unbeaten 140 (70) to propel Lucknow to 210/0 in 20 overs, the highest individual score in the IPL 2022 against Kolkata Knight Riders. Batting first, Lucknow was the first team to complete 20 overs without losing a wicket. In a pivotal IPL 2022 match at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium, the KKR made a valiant effort to chase down the enormous score of the Lucknow Super Giants but fell short by two runs.

199/4 against Mumbai Indians (2022)

In his 100th IPL match, captain KL Rahul hit a superb 103* to help the Lucknow Super Giants reach 199 for 4 after 20 overs against Mumbai Indians. Following a rapid top-order collapse, Suryakumar Yadav and N Tilak Varma appeared to offer some resistance, but their consecutive dismissals at the start of the slog overs saw Mumbai lose faith and fall 18 runs short of the target.

195/3 against Delhi Capitals (2022)

195 proved to be one shot too many for the Delhi Capitals, despite Axar Patel’s consoling six to end the game. Earlier, LSG chose to bat first after finishing on a respectable 195 for 3, with Rahul (77) and Hooda (52) putting up a partnership of 95 runs in 61 balls against Delhi Capitals. It was a target that required runs in the second inning from Prithvi Shaw and David Warner after both openers failed to reach it. Despite Axar’s late surge of 42 runs in 24 balls, DC lost the game by 6 runs.

193/6 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (2022)

In an elimination game at Eden Gardens against Royal Challengers Bangalore, LSG recorded their 5th-highest score in the IPL’s history. After taking the first pitch, RCB scored a whopping 207 runs. Rajat Patidar set a new record with 112 runs. LSG did make a good showing in return. Although KL Rahul hit an incredible 79 runs, RCB won the match by a margin of 14 runs, making the score 79–9.

176/7 against Kolkata Knight Riders (2022)

LSG defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders and recorded their 6th-highest score in IPL history. At the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Saturday, the Lucknow Super Giants defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders by a score of 75 runs, propelling them to the top of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 point standings. Quinton de Kock’s fifty and Avesh Khan’s three-wicket haul helped LSG successfully defend their score of 176, and they went on to win easily by 75 runs.

169/7 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (2022)

Deepak Hooda and KL Rahul both struck crucial half-centuries to help the Lucknow Super Giants recover from a poor start against Sunrisers Hyderabad and reach 169 for 7. After his team lost three wickets for just 27 runs in the powerplay, Rahul and Deepak collaborated to score 87 runs for the fourth wicket, resuming the batting. The Lucknow Super Giants were able to hold Sunrisers Hyderabad to 157 for 9 wickets, thanks to Avesh Khan (4/24) and Jason Holder (3/34).

168/6 against Mumbai Indians (2022)

Against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium, LSG scored the 8th-highest total in IPL history. KL Rahul’s brilliant batting performance, which contributed to LSG’s final score of 163/8, saw him score 103 runs. Then, Krunal Pandya’s efficient bowling helped them defeat the Mumbai Indians by 36 runs.

As part of a brilliant bowling effort, Krunal took the wickets of Rohit Sharma (39), Kieron Pollard (19), and Daniel Sams (3) to help Lucknow earn their 5th victory of the year and move up to 4th place with 10 points in the standings.

163/8 against Royal Challengers Bangalore (2022)

The 163/8 score LSG recorded against Royal Challengers Bangalore was their ninth-highest ever. At the Dr. DY Patil Stadium, Faf du Plessis‘ 96-run innings and Josh Hazlewood’s four-wicket haul helped RCB overcome LSG by 18 runs. The LSG had a rough start in their attempt to chase down a 182-run target when they lost Quinton de Kock, their wicket-keeper batter, for 3 in the third over. Josh Hazlewood got rid of him.

162/8 against Rajasthan Royals (2022)

The game of the season in 2022 was played at Wankhede between the LSG and Rajasthan Royals. After setting a goal of 166, RR limited LSG to 162/8 runs under significantly tougher chasing conditions. Unproven Indian seamer Kuldeep Sen faced off against Marcus Stoinis and managed to hold on to 14 in the final over.

LSG was one of the IPL 2022 teams with the highest consistency despite playing only 16 IPL games so far. LSG’s highest score in IPL total of 211 runs against the powerful Chennai team on a chasing term demonstrates how much more evenly matched they are across the batting order. The team will undoubtedly play a significant role in the IPL for many years to come with fans betting on some spectacular shows.
