DC(231/4) Vs Punjab Kings in 2011

In the 2011 season of the IPL, Delhi Capitals (DC) scored their highest-ever total of 231/4 against Punjab Kings (formerly Kings XI Punjab) in Delhi. After KXIP won the toss and chose to bowl, DC’s openers David Warner and Virender Sehwag put up a scintillating opening partnership of 146 runs in 11.4 overs. 

Sehwag made 77 off 35 balls with 8 fours and 4 sixes, while Warner contributed 77 off 48 balls with 7 fours and 4 sixes. DC’s innings was further bolstered by quickfire cameos from Venugopal Rao and Naman Ojha. In the end, KXIP could only manage 202/6 in response, losing the match by 29 runs.

DC(228/4) Vs Kolkata Knight Riders in 2020

Did you know that three out of Delhi Capitals’ highest IPL totals came against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)? In the 2020 season, DC’s 2nd-highest total came against KKR in Sharjah. After winning the toss, KKR chose to bowl first, and DC had a solid start with both openers adding 56 runs in 5.5 overs. 

Prithvi Shaw made 66 off 41 balls, while skipper Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten on 88 off just 38 balls, including seven fours and six sixes. With a late cameo from Rishabh Pant, DC set a target of 228/4. Despite KKR’s valiant efforts, they fell short, and DC won the match.

DC(219/4) Vs Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018

In the 2018 season, Delhi Capitals achieved their 3rd-highest IPL total in a game against Kolkata Knight Riders in Delhi. KKR won the toss and chose to bowl first. Prithvi Shaw and Colin Munro got the team off to a good start with a quick partnership of 59 runs in 7 overs. 

The skipper, Shreyas Iyer, played a fantastic knock of 93* off 40 balls, including three fours and ten sixes. With his contribution, Delhi reached a huge total of 219/4 in their 20 overs. KKR couldn’t chase the target and only managed 164/9, resulting in a 55-run victory for Delhi.

DC(215/5) Vs Kolkata Knight Riders in 2022

The match took place at the Brabourne Stadium on 10th April 2022 and DC scored 215 runs for the loss of 5 wickets after playing their quota of 20 overs. They scored at a run rate of 10.75 runs per over.

DC(214/3) Vs Gujarat Lions in 2017

In the 2017 season, DC scored 214 runs for the loss of 3 wickets against the Gujarat Lions. The match took place at the Firoz Shah Kotla in Delhi on 4th May. DC had just played 17.3 overs and scored at a rate of 12.22 runs per over.  

DC(213/6) Vs Mumbai Indians in 2019

On 24 March 2019, DC met Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium and were able to score 213 runs for the loss of 6 wickets to make their entry into the list of DC highest scores in IPL.  They had played 20 overs and had scored at a run rate of 10.65.

DC(207/5) Vs Mumbai Indians in 2012

Against Mumbai again but this time at the Firoz Shah Kotla in Delhi, DC were able to score 207 runs for the loss of 5 wickets and scored at a rate of 10.35. Their match took place on 27 April 2012. 

DC(207/8) Vs Rajasthan Royals in 2022

8th in the list of DC highest scores in IPL history is their match against the Royals that took place on 22 April, 2022 at Wankhede. The DC team had played for 20 overs and scored 207 runs for the loss of 8 wickets and had scored at a rate of 10.35

DC(207/3) Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2022

DC scored 207 runs again when they met Sunrisers at the Brabourne Stadium on 5th May 2022. They had lost just three wickets and had scored at a run rate of 10.35.

DC(205/4) Vs Pune Supergiants

Last in the list of DC highest scores in IPL history is their match against the Rising Pune Supergiants. They had scored 205 runs for the loss of 4 wickets and had scored at a rate of 10.25 runs per over. The match took place on 11 April 2017 at Pune.
