There were huge speculations about the career and future of MS Dhoni until all of it came to a sudden halt after a 4 minutes 5 seconds video posted on @mahi7781’s Instagram handle. Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar Hun will no longer be an Amitabh Bachchan song because the legendary MS Dhoni gave it a new meaning. ‘From 1929 hrs Consider me retired’ is what he wrote on his retirement video and silently put an end to all the roaring debate over his form, the Ind vs NZ semi-final and the BCCI not including him in their payroll.

What followed just after that was another heart-wrenching news of another legendary swashbuckling southpaw announcing his retirement because as they say, “Jahan Nahi Mahi Vahan Nahi Raina”. Yes, Suresh Raina, MSD’s best buddy, and CSK mate also called it quits and decided to take upon this journey with him.

It’s very much clear that after these two have permanently retired from the blue jersey #7 & #3, Indian cricket will never be the same. What’s more interesting is this happened after 73 years of India’s independence on 15th August 2020.

As for Raina, he helped India chase 17 from the last over vs Australia. These are gems that are rare to find!

  This was a special Dhoni-Raina moment where the special relationship and understanding between the 2 can be very well seen. In an ODI against England James Anderson’s delivery went past MSD’s bat and straight to the keeper Geraint Jones. The keeper hit straight to the stumps and fell back. As soon as it hit the stumps, Dhoni & Raina completed a single. Sighting the opportunity to sneak another run both sprinted yet again after the lazy Jones picked himself up to uproot the stumps but it was now too late as MSD was already back in the crease.
  

• The Stump Mic Sledges and Lightning Quick Stumpings
