England vs India 1st Test Fantasy Cricket League Preview
England
The hosts do not have good record in test cricket lately with no series win in the last three tours. They lost to Australia in the Ashes, leveled the series with Pakistan at home and were defeated by the Kiwis. Adil Rashid’s inclusion in the squad is a blessing for the English team as he has good record in the limited over series. Alastair Cook is also in a great form after smashing 180 runs against India A. Chris Woakes is still recovering from injury; the all-rounder’s absence will be a void. It is England’s 1000 th test match tomorrow and hence they will want to make it a special celebration. The English squad is as follows.
India
India won the T20 series against the hosts but failed to capitalize the same in ODI. The top order batsmen’s failure in the practice match is a major reason of concern. India is still looking for a strong opening pair. Pujara’s form is not reliable; if Dhawan- Murali Vijay partnership will open the innings, KL Rahul will bat at No.3. Else, KL Rahul is likely to open with Murali Vjay due to Dhawan’s poor form. The unavailability of Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar will be a huge setback for the Indian squad in the test series also. The Indian playing XI is as follows.
