The Aussie team that has reached England has a lot hard work to do, both on and off the field. The team is still struggling, but the good thing is that England is also out of touch. They just lost to Scotland so the moral is not very high for them as well. They did manage to win the first match but it was all due to the poor performance shown by Australian batsmen. The pitch has always been a delight for bowlers and the way last game panned out, this will be a lot tougher for the batsmen. The teams also don’t have good history at this ground, with Aussies losing four out of last 5 games and England lost to Pakistan in the Champions Trophy Semi-final last year.

England
They need to figure out a perfect batting order. Too much shuffling is not only impacting the flow of the batsmen but the team’s performance as well. They are still giving opportunity to Roy in a hope that he might get his form back. But He has played already been one too many games, they need to look for other options. The middle order has the ability to pull through in any situation but they are not able to maintain their innings. Bowling looks average in absence of Woakes and Stokes. They might want to try Tom Curran instead of Mark Wood who has struggles a lot lately.
Australia
The team looks like they are still adjusting to the new leadership and the aftermath of South African tour. They were positive in the field and didn’t react to the sledging in the first game, which can be considered a good sign. They did show some excellent bowling, but were disappointed by the batsmen. It seems the whole batting order is out of form. They might bring is D’arcy Short but he has also not been in great form recently. They will have to figure something out and give the bowlers a fighting chance.
