In spite of a commendable batting and good score on the board, the Chepauk Super Gillies lost against the TUTI Patriots. The top and middle order batsmen did a fine job with the bat. The opening batsmen set the pace which the skipper Gopinath and S Harish sustained. Bowling was the attribute that failed for CHE against the TUTI Patriots. The bowlers were very expensive and struggled hard to pick wickets. The CHE squad could see some changes to win their first game.
VB Kanchi Veerans
VB Kanchi Veerans registered their first victory in TNPL 2018 in their last match against Kovai Kings. They successfully defended a low score of 116 in opposition to Kovai’s strong batting. Except for skipper Baba Aparajith, all other batsmen faltered. VBK needs to better their batting skills to win Chennai. The bowling unit was laudable; they need to sustain the same form. The VBK squad could see some changes made in the batting lineup.
