They say a tiger is it’s most dangerous when it is wounded, this holds particularly true for the Captains of our next IPL encounter. Both the Captains have a point to prove as they take field for match 6 of the VIVO IPL. Gambhir strives to correct his faulty calls against Punjab while Rahane would want to prove to his owners that he should have been the first choice for captain.

Jaipur track although traditionally a spinning track has seen a revamp in it’s recent years. This is certainly reflected in the number of English batting options picked up by the former money all team of RR.

How  do the teams stack up?

Delhi Daredevils

Although they did not start off the tournament they would have liked it would be still to early to count Gautam’s Delhi team out. After all this is the most balanced Delhi side they’ve had in years. The team is still waiting for Maxwell to come back from Fince’s marriage duties. Even in his absence they pack a serious punch with the number of opening options they have. Although Trend Boult was neutralised at Mohali but his swing would certainly create some issues for Rahane and his man and the swingy Jaipur deck.

Probable XI: Gautam Gambhir (c), Colin Munro, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (Wk), Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris, Daniel Christian, Amit Mishra, Trent Boult and Mohammed Shammi.

Players to watch out for: Trend Boult and Chris Morris

Rajasthan Royals

After two long years the Royals from Rajasthan took to the field. Although their first outing didn’t go as planned and there were hardly any positives to pick from the first game but the nature of the game demands us to let go of what happened earlier and put a fresh foot forward. They okay at their home turf now with players like Stokes, Short and Buttler in their ranks it would not be that difficult to turn things around at the early stages of the tournament for them. With the pitch that can assist pace bowling we’d like to see a better outing for Unadkat as well.

Probable XI: Ajinkya Rahane (C), D’Arcy Short, Rahul Tripathi, Sanju Samson, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler (wk), Stuart Binny, Ben Laughlin, Krishnappa Gowtham, Dhawal Kulkarni, Jaydev Unadkat

Players to watch out for: Ben Stokes and Jaidev Unadkat

Punters Heavy On: Delhi Daredevils
